Christmas!

We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve this year. We had a wonderful day at home just enjoying each other & thinking about Jesus.

The morning started off with a little brunch, I set the table the night before with pretty Christmas napkins & cute little juice glasses & it was very lovely to come down to! On the menu for brunch was Baked Caramel French Toast (yummy!) & a fresh fruit salad paired with grape juice :0) it isn't much of a brunch but it was good. Oliver loved the french toast, even more the next day, he ate 2 whole pieces of bread!

While the french toast baked we opened our stockings & Oliver got to play with his animal train that we didn't wrap we just set it out by the tree. You can push the little exhaust pipe & the train moves but Oliver preferred to push the train instead.

We then ate our breakfast & cleaned up.

After breakfast we opened presents. I got some wonderful Dolce & Gabana perfume, zebra travel bag, 2 shirts, tights & slippers. Dusty got boxerbriefs w/ pockets!!! (for his pump of course!), pajama pants, mint melt aways, pixies & a Dilbert calendar. Oliver got a book set that I bought for him a while ago but he never took notice of it so I wrapped it up & now he loves it, the animal train, a book, Mr. potato head & his favorite gift of all.....Cozy Coupe!

Several people asked what we did all day then & the answer is very simple, we watched Oliver get in & out, in & out, in & out, do you get the picture? of his cozy coupe! We also read a lot of books, a lot of the same books, he likes repetition :0)

We then relaxed while Oliver napped & then had dinner...The tradition we decided to start - having pizza! We made homemade 3 cheese sausage pizza & had a delicious pear, candied almonds, craisins salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Oliver went to bed & Dusty & I stayed up & watched "A Midnight Clear" a very depressing movie with a slightly happy ending.

Here are some pictures, not many but some, I need to start doing better!

Showing off my new top & thinking that I looked like I had a big belly...not really I guess :0) I also thought my hair looked cute! This also wasn't taken on our Christmas but the actual day, but it is a gift from Dusty.

Sitting in his car

Shutting the door, such a safe driver

Watching out for other traffic :0)
