Target Deals!!

I have recently become very into saving money & finding the best deals & keeping track of where I am at on supplies. So I am starting a small sort of stockpile.

For example, I am not out of deodorant yet but will be in the next month or 2 so why not buy it now & get a good deal? Same with the lotion except I will be out in days :0) This pregnancy is REALLY drying out my skin. The coffee is a gift for Dusty's birthday (he picked it out) & the bubble bath was a dusty splurge as well. Going shopping with dusty is always fun but always a little more expensive. And the diapers, if you look closely you will see that they are size "n" for newborn, I am starting to stockpile diapers for Nancy (what we call our little girl) so that I don't end up paying for diapers not on sale & without a coupon.

Here are the details :0)

*Huggies on sale for $8.99 each I used a $3 off coupon on each pkg. making them only $5.99 & when you buy 3 you get a $5 gift card.

-I did 2 separate transactions so that I could use the $5 off tonight so this was my first.

- total cost = $19.78 with a savings of $14.00

2nd transaction

*Dunkin Donuts Coffee on sale for $7.49 used $1.50 coupon - $5.99

*Nivea lotion on sale for $5.97 used $1 target coupon & a $2 manufacturers coupon - $2.97

*Nivea body was on sale for $3.99 used a $3 off coupon - $0.99

*Hair gel on sale $3.50 used a $2 coupon - $1.50

*Cheese on sale $2.15 each used a $1 off coupon - $3.30 or $1.65 each

***Best deal***

*Degree deodorant cost $4.34 twin pack used a $1 target coupon & a $2 off manufacturers coupon making it $1.34 or $0.67 each!!!

Bubble bath - the only item that I did not have a coupon for & was NOT on the list to get...this was a dusty buy $4.19

I hand over all my coupons & the lady looks annoyed, so I just ignore it thinking yeah its a slight hassle but hey I am the customer & I am not being rude about it. Then I hand her the $5 off gc she just gave me & she says you can't use this. I say "why not" & she says "because you can't use it in the same transaction. Was this the one I just gave you?" I said "yes but this isn't the same transaction" and she takes it hoping that I will just leave I am sure :0)

Dusty is not one for using coupons because he finds it slightly embarrassing so after we were done this trip I looked at him & said were you embarrassed & he said no..I thought impressive! But there was no way he would have done the 2 sep. transactions & used all the coupons :0)

This transaction totaled $22.04 with a savings of $16.37

So we have $19.78 +$ 22.04 = $41.82 - $5 (gc from diaper purchase) Grand total = $36.82

You may think well that actually cost quite a bit! But when you consider that without just 3 coupons for the diapers, the diapers alone would have been $26.97 & that is on sale!

On the way home I was bragging to Dusty about all the money I saved & reading off the prices & he said "You know you are like your Mom..." & I said "Yeah but I don't care that we bought the bubble bath not on sale or without a coupon, that would really bother Mom" & he agreed :0)
