Household duty inspiration :0)

After being inspired several weeks ago, maybe even a month, that I should clean deeper & more often I have developed a schedule & followed it for 3 weeks now!!!

The inspiration began at potluck one night with us talking about cleaning & I confessed I only cleaned my tub (like scrub it) every couple of months (I know gross but whatever) another person said she did it once a month which gave me a little shame...then Elizabeth said she scrubs her tub every week, and I thought WHAT!!! She blamed it on genetics :0) So Elizabeth, you are my inspiration for my cleaning & laundry schedule! Thanks, its been great! (seriously)

So I am posting about this to maybe give an idea to someone else so they can have a clean house, every week without having to slave away all day! Another advantage is you can spend more time thoroughly cleaning areas instead of doing everything halfway. Plus this lets your house smell yummy multiple days a week instead of just 1 or 2 :0)

Here are the supplies I use, my favorites. Sorry eco-friendly friends, I use the tough stuff!

Mondays: Dust, Sweet, Vacuum & Mop the main floor + laundry

Fridays: Vacuum & Dust the upstairs

Tuesdays: Kitchen & Bathrooms

This is what I clean the kitchen counters with throughout the week to keep it clean. On Tuesdays I use soft scrub on all counters. I first thought, I will clean the microwave as needed from week to week, well sure enough every week it needs cleaned!

Here is what I use in the bathrooms! Wipes on counters, handles & toilet. Soft scrub for the tub, that's right....every week!

Saturday: Wash sheets & towels

Instead of having to wash my towels with all my other clothes I thought it would be good to wash them separately to keep the cleaners off the clothes entirely.

And of course I use rags to clean everything so we can wash & reuse, we wouldn't want to waste all those paper towels!!

This is 1 of 2 of my favorite household items...why? because you can use it to clean & cook & it leaves no odor!

This is other favorite item, bleach! I use it often to let soak in the tub & in the sinks. Plus it helps clean those Yucky towels!

I realize this is very nerdy of me to blog about but I get very excited about cleaning & cleaning products...You can ask Dusty, my favorite area at Target?? You guessed it! The cleaning aisles!
