Funny Things

So I have decided that I am going to keep a blog of the funny or extra special things done/said around me to lighten up my day & hopefully yours along with just remembering funny things that happen. So I will date when it happened or when I heard about it & once I get to 10 I will post a new one. So since this is posted that means it is at 10 & that I am currently working on a another one. I hope you enjoy & a least crack a smirk :0)

(The funny/special part/story will be italicized also I will try to be as accurate as I can but I cannot possibly remember every correct detail)

Setting: Champaign church serving lunch & Lacey is talking about how she brought cupcakes for all her kids. Lacey was talking to her co-workers about bringing in the cupcake when one said you know at another Jr. High a mom brought in cupcakes for all the faculty & as they were eating them in the break room, someone said how much work this mom went to by making all of these, the mom then said "Yeah it was a lot of work! I had them all frosted, came back in & the dog had licked all the frosting off so I had to RE FROST THEM ALL!!!!"

me: oh yes, I talk about you a lot...

Dusty just got new Old Spice body wash that is insanely fragrant, so here's the story. Dusty was giving Oliver a bedtime bath & I was headed up stairs to get something & as I walking up stairs I noticed this strong smell.

erin: "Dusty did you put your body wash on Oliver"

Dusty: no response

erin: "DUSTY did you put that body wash on him?!?!"

Dusty: "Why would you think I would do that?!?!"

-Then dusty walks upstairs to meet me, with a VERY large grin on his face he says

Dusty: "Doesn't he smell like a man!!!"

now it did smell good but it was so strong I was tasting it not to mention it was on my 1 yr. old little boy, it was very cute the way dusty acted but yet very strange the way Oliver smelt!

Dusty works at a new place now instead of in Mossville. So one day a friend of his came up to him & said so this girl was talking to me about how there is this new guy. He is about 15 & has a 1 yr. old! - they were referring to dusty :0)

Oliver is in LOVE with his new shoes, he wants to wear them constantly! the other night at ryan & alyssa's he had his pjs on brought the shoes over to me & sat in my lap to wear them. Last night the same thing happened, so on they went over his footed pjs

Sun. Nov. 7 -

the fire alarm went off during the lunch prayer :0) he prayed thru it while everyone was looking around thinking what to do & laughing. Did I mention it was an exceptionally large sun. b/c there was a wedding, hehe.

Oliver loves the bath/shower so if you are in it he will constantly come into the bathroom & open the door, it used to not bother me as much but now as it is getting cold out I do NOT enjoy this so I told dusty to take care of the situation (take Oliver away) so he just shuts the bathroom door with OOliver still in there, the door wasn't latched but you couldn't open it by pulling it from the side like Oliver normally does so w/o even trying to do it by pulling from the side I watch him walk over, lay on his belly, slide his hand under the door & pull it open & walk out! It was just one of those moments that made me go hmm & laugh & smile & realize I have a smart little boy!

Sun. Nov. 7

Dusty calls me into the family room "look at Oliver, he has been doing this like crazy" (spinning around in circles & then trying to walk & laughing b/c he falls) I laugh & think that's strange. We bring it up later when the family is over & we find out Oliver has learned this new trick from cousin Abe :0)

Dusty's deception - dusty is known for trying to trick me into doing things, sometimes it works. These will be the final 3 things.

1. A long time ago (4 yrs) I needed medicine, I didn't want to take one that would make me drowsy b/c I like to stay up & socialize, dusty knew this, so he brings me medicine I take it & after I swallow it he tells me it is drowsy medicine so we should leave so we can go home & go to bed! Yes sure enough I was knocked out! Dusty won - he got to go to bed early!

2. The time change. Dusty left the clock in our family room set later. I still enjoy going to bed late so one night I look up & I freak out that it is almost 11 & say we need to get to bed! He smiles & says okay. I get ready for bed, hop in, roll over & it isn't even 10!!! He knew the whole time that it wasn't 11 but couldn't pass up getting to bed early.

3. This happened last night. Dusty put our heated blanket on the bed, I have NOT been cold at night so I tell him not to turn mine on. Well last night I was like a furnace & dusty was cold & kept coming on my side so finally I said if you are going to be on my side at least turn your blanket off, so he does....then he says well why don't you turn yours off & I said I never turned it on I am hot! As he smiles & laughs he says "I did" :0) I looked over & he had my blanket on high! Mystery solved as to why I could NOT cool off!! (Dusty did this b/c he likes the blankets on & knows that currently I think it is too warm for it, another one of dusty's tricks)
